Home Gardening Cucamelons – Tiny little melon-alikes known in Mexico as Little Mouse Watermelons/Sanditas de Raton. Grown for centuries in Central America this fruit is new to Britain. The taste is described as cucumbery with a hint of lime and are, apparently, much easier to grow than normal cukes. Resistant to most pests, drought tolerant, it just needs a sunny, sheltered position to grow in.
